A special program for International Cantors on all levels will be offered at the Academy in the coming year 2015-16
1. Cantorial students as well as Cantors already in their careers, interested in Vocal technique, will meet in Tiberias Israel for a three day program which will consist of in depth study of the coveted "Giro Vocal Motion Technique" (GVMT) taught by Miriam Jaskierowicz Arman, it's originator.
2. The first day consists of three hours in the morning, during which time GVMT is introduced. After a lunch break (2hours) the class will continue its work in great detail. Questions arising from the mornings session will be addressed. The class addresses how and why putting repertoire into the Voice is of primary importance (3 hours). Time permitting, Miriam Jaskierowicz Arman will begin the individual work with students. Participation of all students is required.
3. The second day (8 hours with lunch break) will be spent working with each participant in turn while other students observe. During that time intricacies of the technical application in great specifics will become more revealed and dialogue between teacher and students continues. Questions and answer periods follow the work with each student.
4. The third day (8 hours with lunch break) is spent on applying the acquired technical skills and working on specific cantorial pieces, learning how to apply technical knowledge to each piece. All work again is done with the participation of all students. The idea of learning in a group setting promotes a wonderful learning environment and sharing.
THIS PROGRAM IS LIMITED TO 15 STUDENTS ONLY. Since every student will have the opportunity to work individually with Miriam Jaskierowicz Arman the number of participants is limited to 15 students.
Please contact the International Academy of Voice with questions or if you are interested in participation.
This program set up is also available to institutions and organizations as a three day workshop in their own facilities. The program can also be limited to one or two days which cuts the individual work significantly. The possibility of enlarging the number of participants is viable, in which case the program will be adjusted to auditors and actual participants, (singers) who will have the opportunity to work individually with Miriam Jaskierowicz Arman.
